Hey. we purchased the tool and works well with unity and mvn record 2024.2. The only issue we encounter was with the fbx files, specially the in between keys were getting a NaN value causing issues (in Maya), which was fixed by selecting the translate channel and setting the tangent to HOLD. Hopefully this tool will be compatible with 2025 new MVN record licenses cannt to activated on 2024 versions (i think movella blocked it).

However, upon closer scrutiny, we still have some sync issue with mvn and the stream that ends up in unity. on MVN the character is rock solid, and on unity its slider and out of sync or a similar issue.

I don't have access to 2025 as of yet. Releasing an update soon that simply works natively with both unity and blender, i would assume it would work natively with maya too.

Hi

I really want to buy this wonderful plugin, but I don't know which version of mvn animate I need to download for it to work? Because they said that xsens blocked the use of versions that only record without the option to export (the recorder versions)

One more thing. If you manage to develop a plugin or script version that can convert an MVN file to FBX, that would be great and I'm willing to buy one for more than $100.

all versions up to 2025. As far as I'm aware 2025 is the only one that doesn't work with it. And I'll see why eventually. I don't have an mvn to fbx converter at this time.

Thanks for your quick response, I'll buy your plugin on Sunday. Hopefully I can export the file from Unity as FBX

And I know you haven't created something that converts directly from MVN to FBX, I just said that you should really, really think about this direction. Because it will simplify the process and bypass the company's block on exporting the file to FBX and from there to ICLONE8 and from there to wherever each user wants, depending on the software they are working with. The option of a plugin that works directly with ICLONE8 is also an excellent idea because of the many and very convenient possibilities that ICLONE8 has to export to any software you want.

In any case, I am distributing and advertising your plugin among friends who also own the xsens system like me. Hopefully you can see a good financial return from your investment in building a good replacement for the irrational greed of xsens so that it will be worth it for you to invest in additional plugins for exporting motion files from xsens.

I'm already working on an iclone portion, but it's privately for a client. It's not slated for a public release at this time. A direct mvn to fbx converter is potentially possible but involves a great deal of work. It is not currently on my to do list.

And I can't be a "private customer" to use the iclone plugin? I don't mind paying more for the iclone plugin privately because it's much, much more efficient in terms of iclone export than the Unity plugin.

yes you can. But it's still being developed. Because iclone uses euler and is the only one to do so, it makes it very hard to work with. Its about 85 to 90% done. But the angles are a pain. Waiting on a trial licence now to be able to better decode everything

Will this work with older versions of MVN? I have 2023

Also... any chance for UE support plans

useless ,duseless ,dont have mvn record software ont have mvn record software

So it does work for ue. But needs tweaks. Like rotations

ooh, but UE support for this plugin would be so amazing, even better then Maya

we've gone ahead and made this tool a lot better, no longer needs any changes to the xsens plugin that runs in unity or unreal, meaning anything that takes the normal xsens data stream will work with this. as well we are addign udp support and other fixes

How do I run it in iclone?

I'm keen to download this but am coming from a slightly different angle and wonder if your plugin will work for my application, I don't have much experience with Unity - what data is streamed to unity? Is it the various joint angle data? Thanks.

sorry for the delay. I don't get notified of comments. bone position and rotation data is streamed from mvn, to unity. if it's animated in mvn, it's animated in unity

Will it work for Unity vtuber applications, such as VNyan or Warudo?

no clue :)

I put my $100 in. Believe in you, looking forward to Blender version.

Will this eventually be available for Iclone?

i'm only a little familiar with iClone. if it has an API I can look into it.

iClone has an API, specifically called the "iClone Python API" which allows users to extend and customize iClone functionalities by writing Python scripts to interact with the software at a low level, enabling custom plugin development and advanced automation features.

My hope is still alive then. Thank you my friend!

IClone would be soooo useful!!! ... and UE would be great also!

Wow, thank you so much for this, you are amazing! This is so enabling as an indie artist who spent 15k on a solution that was sold on a much lower subscription price at 250/month back then compared to 1k/month currently . I would love to see a Blender version of this too :))

It's on the to-do list for sure!
